Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing Committee
The Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing Committee is comprised of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal staff from various occupational groups and levels at Sir Charles Gairdner and Osborne Park Hospitals.
We are committed to improving the health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and ensuring our hospitals are a culturally secure and welcoming environment for Aboriginal patients, visitors and staff.
Our committee is fundraising to help make Aboriginal patients stay in hospital more comfortable with:
- Warm jumpers
- Bush medicine moisturizer
- Sanitary items
This is because creating a more culturally secure space for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and visitors, is a key aim for the Charlies Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing Committee.
Our fundraising goal is $5000.
