QEII Research Student Network
We are a student-led committee from multiple research organisations situated on the QEII Medical Centre. We are dedicated to promoting a kind and supportive community for our research students - the future of WA’s medical research.
Our Mission
Whether you are a student yourself, or know someone who is, you may be familiar with the uncertain journey of research. With increasing demands, yet scarce funding for research, professional development and cross-institute networking opportunities, these issues can create barriers that can limit our ability to produce high quality ground-breaking discoveries. We are on a mission to:
- Encourage cross-institutional collaborations for supportive student-focused events.
- Develop a stronger voice for young WA scientists and advocate for their rights and wellbeing.
- Facilitate professional development and networking opportunities and offer peer-to-peer student support.
- Minimise the skill gap to ensure students are well equipped for smoother progression into their scientific career.
How you can help
Help us reach our target goal of $1000 by donating to our network this “Giving Day”.
Your donation will enable us to host networking and professional development opportunities for student researchers. By supporting student researchers now, you are contributing to a strong future for medical research in WA.
