Stroke Rehabilitation
The Stroke Rehabilitation Unit at Osborne Park Hospital provides rehabilitation for stroke survivors in the North Metropolitan Area.
Research has shown that enriching rehabilitation environments and listening to music that is meaningful can lead to enhanced recovery and reduced depression in stroke survivors.
We want to fundraise to buy 16 portable CD players, a lot of single-use headphones, and CDs so that stroke survivors on our unit can listen to music between therapy sessions and after hours.
We have found that patients really enjoy engaging with music during therapy, and we want to give them the opportunity to engage with music outside of therapy times, too!
Thank you for your support!
